  • Zest of 1 navel orange

  • In a large bowl, toss the coconut flakes with the melted coconut oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Add the cinnamon and orange zest to the bowl, mixing thoroughly to distribute the flavors throughout the flakes.
  • Spread the seasoned coconut flakes out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently to ensure even toasting and to prevent burning.
  • Once the flakes turn a light golden brown, remove them from the oven.
  • Allow the coconut chips to cool completely on the baking sheet, where they will crisp up as they cool.
